The Iran Arbabi Scholarship Program, established in 2014, continued its annual scholarship awards for the academic year 2023-2024.  In August 2023, an independent Panel of Experts, appointed by the ICEC Board of Trustees, using specific criteria, evaluated the qualifications and merits of all applicants. It is a great pleasure to announce that the Scholarship Committee has decided to award this year’s scholarship award of $1,500 to Mr. Armon Emtiaznoori who has been so notified. Armon will be attending University of Maryland at Baltimore Country (UMBC) in the 2023 Fall semester.

In his acceptance note to ICEC Armon wrote: “…being part of ICEC community, I learned a great deal about my family’s homeland, Iran, got to know and participated in the wonderful ICEC community initiative, Camp Koohdareh, through which I made new friends, learned and practiced how to be a leader, appreciate my cultural diversity and felt closer to a community of people that are just like me…”
