Classes

Classes offered by ICEC
ICEC offers Persian language and culture courses, from novice* to advanced* levels, to all who are interested in learning the Persian language and culture. The courses are held during the standard school year, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays, at Ritchie Park Elementary School in Rockville, Maryland.

The main goal of the instruction is to help learners become proficient in communicative modes, interpersonal, interpretive and presentational, while learning about the cultural practices and products as they are reflected in everyday life. Instructors use a variety of materials to make the input comprehensible while staying in the target language. The instructional staff takes part in professional development by nationally-known educators to stay current with the latest strategies and approaches in the field of world languages. In addition, the instructional staff is encouraged to participate in professional development programs that are offered in the metropolitan area.
